Flight Memories? My solo flight was on July 3rd a very busy and hot day at the airport. When I departed for my solo lap around the patch my window popped open. Before lift off I managed to get the window closed and was airborne. As I climbed out there appeared a bee flying inside on the dash. I made my calls only to find another plane making a straight in shot to rwy 32 as I was on my base leg. So now, the bee and the other plane!!! Broke off base by making a left 360 only to join more traffic in the pattern. With all that distraction finally the landing was accomplised. Real Job? I manage the Maryland branch location of JK Moving & Storage Company. Vision for the club? I would like to see the club gather fro more social activities. Getting to know each other also give anyone more possibilities for success in flying and possibly networking. The plane needs to be safe yet appealing enough so that if one plane is booked your second choice really could have been your first. Being the cheapest is not my idea of a good club. We need to be strong financially to obtain first class planes and maintain our safety. We are the ONLY club in the Montgomery County field to perform annuals every 100 hours. Coolest Flying Experience? All flying is a great experience. If it wasn't for me flying my father would have missed his first grandson graduate from college. Hardest thing about Flying? The hardest thing about flying to me originally was landing. My hands would sweat and my heart would pound. It took every bit of over 1000 landing before I actually enjoyed the challenge. I have landed in all kinds of weather and believe that you should practice in all different weather as well. |
